Jay Backstrom, Corporate VP at Celgene, will be delivering our Keynote Address:  Clinical Trials in Oncology – Critical Needs for Innovation.

Dr. Pol Boudes, Chief Medical Officer at Amicus Therapeutics, who is working with rare diseases, will share with us how innovation in clinical trials is a way of life at Amicus Therapeutics.

From Pfizer, we have Craig Lipset, Head of Clinical Innovation, who will be sharing his thoughts and experiences about innovations in clinical trials through the Pfizer lens.  He also brings examples of ways Big Pharma can better partner with companies in New Jersey.

Spiro Rombotis, President & CEO of Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals and a BioNJ Board Member, is spearheading the BioNJ Clinical Trials initiative.  He will address the positive predictive value of trials and bring us up to date on his work improving the state of clinical trials in New Jersey.

Dr. Marco Taglietti, President & Chief Medical Officer at Forest Research Institute, will help us look at long-term strategies, sharing some of the initiatives at Forest Research Institute that can make New Jersey a much more competitive place to conduct clinical trials
