BioNJ Annual Meeting
First
and foremost, I want to offer my personal thanks and deepest
appreciation
to each and every one of the 578 members of the biotechnology
community
who made our 17th Annual Dinner Meeting, Awards Program
and
Networking Event on January 28 our most successful annual
gathering ever.
And yes that is 578, up from 250 just two years ago.
The
highlights alone could take pages to recount.
Dr.
Sol J. Barer, Chairman and CEO of Celgene
Corporation, paid a fitting tribute to former ImClone
Systems CEO John H. Johnson as he presented the Dr.
Sol J. Barer Award for Vision, Innovation and Leadership
to John. As he always does, Sol
mixed humor with great humility in recognizing John for his
contributions
to biotechnology and reminding us all of the contributions that
each one
us can make in his or her own way to foster the discovery and
development
of innovative therapies. CLICK HERE to view the
video about the Dr. Sol J. Barer
Award for Vision, Innovation
and Leadership.
